Today's poem is by Deborah Warren
Cause Cèlébre
Something's afoot among the crows today.
Some public matter well, it's hardly hidden:
One crow shrieks; the next one weighing in,
a third one interrupts him to inveigh
against them both. The reason for the din?
Who knows? The thing that counts is being loud.
I do know this: If one voice does outweigh
another one, it's always overridden
by the harsh opinions of the crowd.
