Ballad of the Lovers

The wind is working out a hollow patch.
My lover raised his arm to fasten the catch,
battened down the hatch and sparked a match.

Listen to the wind pressing the catch.
Whipping the flame, bat-batting the hatch.
The wind is trying to hollow out a patch!
