Yerra Sugarman's first collection of poems, Forms of Gone, was published by The Sheep Meadow Press in 2002. Her poetry awards include a 1998 Discovery/The Nation Prize and, more recently, a George Bogin Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, and an Academy of American Poets Prize. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Humanites at New York University, a Visiting Instructor of Creative Writing at the Pratt Institute, and has also taught creative writing at The City College of New York. She holds degrees in visual art from Condordia and Columbia Universities.
