William Wenthe's
books of poems are Not Till We Are Lost (LSU Press, forthcoming) and Birds of Hoboken (Orchises 1995). He has received poetry fellowships from the NEA and the Texas Commission on the Arts, and two Pushcart Prizes. He wrote the libretto for the opera Bellini's War, with music by Steve Paxton, which premiered at the Allen Theatre at Texas Tech University, where he teaches in the Creative Writing Program. His poems have appeared recently in the Georgia Review, the Southern Review, Tar River Poetry, Meridian, and Open City.
