W. D. Snodgrass and his wife, Kathleen, divide their time between Erieville, New York, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. His two most recent books are critical studies: To Sound Like Yourself: Essays on Poetry (BOA, 2002) and De/Compositions: 101 Good Poems Gone Wrong (Graywolf, 2001), which was nominated for the New York Critics Circle Award in Criticism.
