Ruth L. Schwartz's
most recent book is Edgewater (HarperCollins), which was selected by Jane Hirshfield for the National Poetry Series. She is a two-time winner of the Nimrod/Pablo Neruda Award, as well as over a dozen other literary prizes. She teaches at California State University, Fresno, and lives in Oakland.
