About Deep in the Shallows:
"With Deep in the Shallows, Jeff Hardin's lyric trumpets the Romantic moment into our most salient and sensible
present while transcending subject with meditation. As was the case for Rimbaud, these poems are the explosion which
lights up Hardin's abyss, and yet with all the light he sheds, the work cherishes the dark corners, the seldom explored
recesses of verse. Most, the poet's work predicates the poetic moment, the instant we understand the spell, language
transformed."
