Eugen Jebeleanu (1911-1991), from Campina, Romania, received numerous European literary awards during his lifetime. A collection of his poems, Secret Weapon, will be published by Verse Press in 2001.

Matthew Zapruder is the author of American Linden, forthcoming from Tupelo Press in fall, 2002. Tupelo Press will also publish Secret Weapon, his book of translations of poems from the Romanian by the late Eugen Jebeleanu, in Fall, 2003. He teaches at the New School in New York City, and is the Editor in Chief of Verse Press.
