Ellen Doré Watson's third collection of poems, Ladder Music (Alice James), appeared last year. She has translated a dozen books, including The Alphabet in the Park, the selected poems of Brazilian Adélia Prado (Wesleyan, 1990). She directs the Poetry Center at Smith College and serves as an editor for The Massachusetts Review.
