Eduardo Chirinos
is the author of thirteen books of poety. His work is widely anthologized in the Spanish-speaking world. In 2001, Chirinos was awared the inaugural Posia Americana Innovadora Prize from the Casa de America in Madrid for innovation in Latin American poetry. He is currently Assistant Professor of Foreign Languages at the University of Montana.
G. J. Racz is assistant professor of Foreign Languages and Literature at Long Island University, Brooklyn. His translations of the contemporary Peruvian poets Jose Antonio Mazzotti and Eduardo Chirinos have appeared in several journals. He is presently collaborating with an anthology in translation of the Cuban poet Jose Lezama Lima, edited by Ernesto Livon-Grosman, to be published next year by University of California Press as part of the Poets for the Millennium collection.
