A. V. Christie's
first book of poems Nine Skies was selected as a winner of The National Poetry Series by Sandra McPherson and was published in 1997. Her poems and reviews and interviews have appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, Passages North, Shenandoah, Boulevard, The Iowa Review, Poetry Northwest, The American Scholar, Image, and Verse, among other magazines. She is currently the Visiting Writer at LaSalle University and is also a Poet-in-the-Schools. The line in italics in "Template" is borrowed from Marina Warner's book Fantastic Metamorphoses, Other Worlds: Ways of Telling the Self.
