Annie Boutelle
teaches at Smith College, where she founded the Poetry Center. Her book-length sequence of poems based on the life of Celia Thaxter was a finalist for the 1999 Walt Whitman Award, the 2000 Kathryn Morton Award, and the 2002 Philip Levine Prize. She has published in The Green Mountains Review, The Hudson Review, Iris, The Larcom Review, Metamorphoses, Nimrod, Painted Bride, and Poetry.
