Today's poem is by David Lee Garrison
Playing with the Moon
My dog doesn't howl at the moon,
she's slowing down and soon
Ninety-eight in human years,
in the summer like a patchwork
knowing she belongs to the cosmos,
she plays with it, even though
will crawl into the lap of the universe.
she wraps night sky around her
quilt of warmth and wonder,
to everything that was and is.
