Today's poem is by Haley Lasché
[owl flies after murder]
owl flies after murder
low coins of feathers spent at dusk
mistaken for glass intrudes
upon this stillness
hill sown to missing palette
another old fence post
molding from spruce
the talon net singed
at the phellem of wings
furrowing the dead
to surface
rare underworld of shag ice
hook of beak-pushed-snow
nest of cork crystal
blister of leaves
