Today's poem is by Lindsey Royce
God is the Fish in My Mouth
Let me feel your sun warm my throat,
What spills from crows' beaks
and an earring, dry fly, fishing line.
Do I walk away, heart tight as a walnut
the swallows eddy and a cormorant rises,
to John
illuminating me from inside.
but seeds and trinkets
All slide through watery mouths.
or towards, which is really the same direction
wet with a rainbow in his mouth.
