Rose Hunter
is the author of six books of poetry, including Body Shell Girl (Spinifex Press, Australia, 2022); Anchorage (Haverthorn Press, UK, 2020), and glass (Five Islands Press, Australia, 2017). Her poetry has appeared widely in literary journals in Australia, the USA, and Canada, and she has been awarded an Australia Council for the Arts grant. Body Shell Girl (in which the poem published here also appears) is a memoir in verse about the first two years she spent in the sex industry in Canada. Born in Australia, Rose went on to live in Canada for ten years, then Mexico for ten more. She is currently in Australia where she is enrolled in a PhD in Creative Writing at Griffith University.
