George Burns been published in the Alaska Quarterly Review, Atlanta Review, The Comstock Review, The Massachusetts Review and many others.He has won the Robinson Jeffers Tor House Foundation Poetry Contest, judged by Billy Collins. His first book of poems, If a Fish, is available from Cathexis Northwest Press and Amazon. He recently finished a 10 day residency in Oregon at the Pacific University MFA Program where he studied with Dorianne Laux.
