Elizabeth Johnston Ambrose
's writing appears in The Atlantic, McSweeney's, Room, Emrys, and Nasty Women Poets, among others. She is the author of two chapbooks: Imago, Dei (winner of the 2021 Rattle Chapbook Prize) and Wild Things (Main Street Rag, 2021). Her poem, "After My Teenager Tries...," was one of 10 finalists for the 2021 Rattle Poetry Prize. She teaches poetry and gender studies in Rochester, NY, where she lives with her husband, two daughters, and four rescue animals. Co-founder of Straw Mat Writers, she also facilitates a writing-as-therapy group for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
