Claudia Buckholts
is the author of two poetry collections, Bitterwater, and Traveling Through the Body. Her poems have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Bluestem, The Carolina Quarterly, Cloudbank, Cold Mountain Review, The Connecticut Poetry Review, Cottonwood, Eclectica Magazine, Green Mountains Review, Harvard Magazine, Jabberwock Review, The Midwest Quarterly, New American Writing, Prairie Schooner, San Pedro River Review, The Southern Review, Southern Poetry Review, Sugar House Review, Tampa Review, Tar River Poetry, Valparaiso Poetry Review, and West Texas Literary Review, as well as other journals and anthologies. She received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry and a Massachusetts Artists Foundation Fellowship in Fiction, and the Grolier Prize for poetry. She was previously editor of a poetry magazine, Gargoyle, and director for ten years of a weekly workshop for local poets in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also writes novels.
