How to Predict the Future
It's easier than you think. When I broke my foot,
I predicted pain. When I married my wife,
I predicted divorce. I'm not trying to be cute.
I'm explaining predictions for beginners, of course.
The future can be found at the bottom of an ocean,
a deep lake; but not in a river they move too quickly.
Transcribe your dreams the instant you wake.
Translate them into a difficult language.
The future smells like burnt peppercorns,
the stronger the smell the further away it is.
If you have to choose between being
a religious scholar and comic book artist ... don't.
I bet you've heard most of this before.
Old wives' tales only entertain old wives.
Tea leaves are only faithful to hot water.
My skeleton will have the last laugh.
Each heart attack is a gift ...
but each attack begets an attack.
Put your ear to a dying man's lips.
