Madronna Holden
is using her recent retirement from teaching to concentrate on her award-winning poetry, which has appeared in some two dozen literary journals, including The Christian Science Monitor, American Writing, and Equinox Poetry and Prose, in addition to The Bitter Oleander. Her poems written as "duets" in conjunction with the work of painter David Wolfersberger have also appeared in the Cold Mountain Review, Puerto del Sol, The Slippery Elm Literary Journal, the Chestnut Review, and elsewhere. Her poetry drama, The Descent of Inanna, was the subject of a documentary aired on Oregon Public Television. Her chapbook, Goddess of Glass Mountains, is due out from Finishing Line Press later this year.
