About Color All Maps New:

"These are exquisite poems about fatherhood and family life and the memory that is required to bridge all that love. Jack Bedell has fed the muses plenty of great Louisiana food and they have bestowed upon him great duende and heart. These poems are perfect gems on the page, and they resonate with the maturity of a man coming to terms with his rightful place in this life. Landscape and home are central to this collection allowing the poet to sing and be a conduit to family lore and memory. COLOR ALL MAPS NEW makes masterwork out of language, and delicious roux out of the human touch."
