Bruce Bond
is the author of twenty-nine books including, most recently, Scar (Etruscan, 2020), The Calling (Parlor, 2021), Patmos (Juniper Prize, UMass, 2021) and Behemoth (New Criterion Award, Criterion Books, 2021). Four books are forthcoming: Therapon (with Dan Beachy-Quick, Tupelo Press), Liberation of Dissonance (Nicholas Schaffner Award for Literature in Music, Schaffner Press), Choreomania (Madhat), and Invention of the Wilderness (LSU). His books on poetics include Immanent Distance: Poetry and the Metaphysics of the Near at Hand (U. of Michigan) and Plurality and the Poetics of Self (Palgrave Macmillan). Over the past few decades, his poems and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies including seven editions of Best American Poetry. Presently he teaches as a Regents Emeritus Professor of English at the University of North Texas and works as a jazz and classical guitarist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
