Today's poem is by Jessica Goodfellow
Orange
"Orange is for impermanence,"
explains the Buddhist monk turned
tour guide, of his form-
er uniform.When my uncle died,
all they sighted were
his ice axe and
his orange sleeping bagthat once had held his form,
now unreachable.
These items too were soon
covered by a uniform of snow.
