On Hearing That Another Friend Is Dying
I don't believe every snowflake is different. How many have we even checked? Over the centuries of microscopy, perhaps we've examined a single wheelbarrow full of snow. People are so much more complex, and yet there are twins everywhere. You're meeting them all the time and don't realize it, because they don't act like they're living in a Doublemint commercial. On a day like this, the sameness of the world is staggering. Someone drops money and the wrong person picks it up. The bees refuse to share their flowers.
