Today's poem is by Alison Stone

Caligula

If I'm not safe,
no one is safe.

My meat poisoned;
now, like rain, let blood
wash clean the streets of Rome.

Little Soldier Boot, my ass.
No part of me is small.
Only a fool
can't see I am a god.

Sisters, lovers, rivals, senators —

So many ways
to make a body tremble.
So many little deaths.
