Leonard Kress author of full-length poetry collections: Living in the Candy Store and Other Poems (2018), Walk Like Bo Diddley (2016), The Orpheus Complex (2009), and Sappho's Apples (2000). He has also published chapbooks: Thirteens, Braids & Other Sestinas, and The Centralia Mine Fire. His poetry, fiction, non-fiction, reviews, and translations have appeared in Missouri Review, Massachusetts Review, Iowa Review, American Poetry Review, and Harvard Review. Kress has also completed a new verse translation of the 19th century, Polish Romantic epic, Pan Tadeusz, by Adam Mickiewicz and was the invited American poet to The Warsaw Autumn Poetry Festival and the Druskininkai International Poetry Festival in Lithuania. He has received grants in playwriting and poetry from the Ohio Arts Council and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Kress studied religion at Temple University, Poetry at Columbia University, and Polish at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, He currently teaches religion, philosophy, and English at Owens Community College in Ohio.
