Anthony Seidman
is the author of two previous
collections of poetry: On Carbon-Dating Hunger and
Where Thirsts Intersect, both published by The Bitter
Oleander Press. With artist Jean-Claude Loubieres, he
has created three artist's books: When You Read...,
San Fernando Valley Suite and The Motel Insomnia, all
published in bilingual format by AdèLéo of Paris, France.
His poems, articles and translations have appeared
widely in Mexico in such publications as Luvina, Crítica,
Parteaguas, the cultural supplements to Mexico's major
newspapers: La Jornada and La Reforma, and in El blues
del cuervo (Piedra Cuervo Press of Tijuana, Mexico),
translations from the poetry of Roberto Castillo
Udiarte. His translation and poems have been included
in the anthologies Corresponding Voices (Point of Contact
I Syracuse University), The Ecopoetry Anthology (Trinity
University Press), The California Prose Directory (Outpost
19), and Asymmetries: An Anthology of Peruvian
Poetry (Cardboard House Press). He has recently
published work in Bengal Lights, Cardinal Points Literary
Journal, Huizache, Drunken Boat, Nimrod, World Literature
Today, The Black Herald, The Bitter Oleander, and Chiron
Review. Seidman resides in his native city of Los Angeles
with his wife and two children.
