Today's poem is by Lauren Moseley
Cyclops
God said I am a cyclops
in a full-moon voiceOne day you will forget
the way geese crease waterEvery life is a renaming
We were sailing as if we hadanother hour to kill
another hour to liveMy name separate
as a severed handI'll always go too far
for a friendly facea cup of coffee
with a moon of milkOne lens of her glasses fogged
above the mug and shelooked up one-eyed
straight through me
