Molly Peacock
is a widely anthologized poet whose work is included
in leading literary journals in the United States, Canada, and the UK,
as well as in The Best of the Best American Poetry and The Oxford Book
of American Poetry. She is the author of six previous volumes of poems,
including The Second Blush and Cornucopia: New and Selected Poems. She
has been instrumental in bringing poetry to large audiences through
her instigation of the Poetry in Motion program on New York City's
buses and subways and through her creation of the Best Canadian
Poetry in English series. As a prose writer, she is the author of The
Paper Garden: Mrs. Delany Begins Her Life's Work at 72, a biography of
eighteenth-century collage artist Mary Delany; Paradise, Piece by Piece,
a memoir about her choice not to have children; and Alphabetique: 26
Characteristic Fictions, tiny tales with illustrations by Kara Kosaka. Her
poetry is the subject of a monograph by Jason Guriel, Molly Peacock: A
Critical Introduction. She is based in Toronto and New York.
