Elisabeth Meyer was born in Kentucky and lives there today. She received a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of Evansville, where she studied poetry with Rob Griffith, Mike Carson, and William Baer, and served as Poetry Editor and Co-Editor of the Evansville Review. She earned an MFA in Poetry from Southern Illinois University, where she worked with Allison Joseph and Rodney Jones.
