(University of Pittsburgh Press, 2016). He has been awarded an
NEA Literature Fellowship, two Pushcart Prizes, and the Kathryn
A. Morton Prize in Poetry. He teaches creative writing at California
State University, Long Beach. A stack of pink boxes filled with donuts
is his favorite minimalist sculpture.
