Today's poem is by Max Cohen
What I Missed
I tried to plant flowers. Nothing gained.
My access is limited
to small things.
What does a calm sea mean?
The cardinal directions
aren't subtle enough.
When disease eats a fruit I get scared. When I eat a fruit
I forget. Nature is bad at names,
even short ones.
I don't need to call it anything. I can just
talk. Honestly a cage doesn't need to be very big
just bigger than you.
