Today's poem is by Albert Goldbarth
Flowers
Ah, the soul . . . that taxi driver.
It carries us no matter when
and who. For example, New York:
there are the private schools and posh
Fifth Avenue day spasand
the bodegas and after-parties.
So with the flowers. Some are closed
at night; and others are open only then.
