Today's poem is by Samantha Reiser
Jerusalem
In the dark city, the roads unwound themselves
Falling upon her feet
fu limestone weathered.
The site: tribute to two landscapesLying horizontal
in homage to the misbegotten.
One, where the mountains fade outwards
Coupling the buildingsAlong the gravel's firmament.
Two, of everything devolving
Felt in the crate
Between hill and valley. Two octaves separated by two cantors
Where one woman lies against a cactus
And two men walkTowards the martyred wall.
Prayers stuck upon rocks.
Holding together two arms
Otherwise unfelt.
