Today's poem is by Eleni Sikelianos
Still Life with Body as Apocalypse
We each drew a picture of the dead man
and each of our pictures looked a little bit more
like the author than the others
my brother around my father's chin
me around my father's speech
my sister around my father's knuckles
the other brother around his habit & waist
We concluded that there's no such thing
as a portrait of a man, just
a portrait of a mob each
member waiting to see or die themselves
