Today's poem is by Ruth Ellen Kocher
M/mediation I Dominance
The once has never said
Nor the next day stammered
To you the black bird calls across pine
To you the creek is in a rush
Pity first sky spread so thin
Pity next the water bottle crushed at the road's edge
Discard can never diminish its grip on
What cannot stop that which
Drink the reservoir in an untapped gulp
Breathe carbon breath freeways
Forget that within you a knife
Forget the red storm of wanting to
