Today's poem is by Sally Bliumis-Dunn

On a Walk

I wonder if we've taken
a wrong turn.
The land's curves and shadows
look so different in the snow.

We look around,
retrace our steps.
You spot a fallen tree.

It's not until we lumber
over the awkward trunk,
and I feel the suddenly familiar
stretch of calf and thigh,

that I am sure —

I always knew we carried
these woods in our bodies —

which way is home.
