Today's poem is by Gary L. McDowell
Ovaries
The body of water that cries
in search, unable to breathe.Broken, can you ask for more?
Water crying, waterfor the mouth. It’s why
we have throats. If I amwithout the body my voice
will die and shake off starsor fall one half of a year.
I am what I fear to be. I am a loop.
