Bee Prophecy
Walking through summer fir and aspen
thinking of something I'll never rememberlost in some other life entering
a small meadow white and yellowI stepped into a haze of bees
that parted easily as airwings and fur brushing my skin
as I went in deeper deeperafraid to stop or turn back
unable to see the endbarely breathing the swarming
filling my mouth with fuzzed speechI say what I can it was leaf
lungs and sky a shininghive we live inside
