About Night Work:

"Kinesthetic, compassionate, unflinching, sometimes narrative, sometimes surreal, C. E. Perry’s poems turn this world’s full ripeness and strangeness as a farmer turns soil—that out of disruption and loss, something new might take root, grow, and sustain."
—Jane Hirshfield

"Reading C. E. Perry you suddenly discover a deeply intelligent, sane, courageous, fresh voice. It surprises you as any such voice would. I am delighted with the breadth of interest and the wisdom."
—Gerald Stern
