Nicky Beer has received a 2007 Literature Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and a 2006 Discovery/The Nation award. She has degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia, the University of Houston, and Yale University of Missouri-Columbia, the University of Houston, and Yale University. Her poems appear in Best American Poetry, Indiana Review, The Nation, Quarterly West, and elsewhere.
