is the winner of the 2005 Maurice English Award and the author of six collections of poetry, most recently He Paves the Road With Iron Bars (Verse Press, 2004). Her poems have appeared in the Times Literary Supplement, The Paris Review, The Boston Review, and elsewhere. She has received awards from the NEA, Ingram Merrill Foundation, Massachusetts Cultural Council, and Poetry magazine.
