Stephen Massimilla's book Forty Floors From Yesterday (Bordighera, 2002) won the Sonia Raiziss-Giop Prize. He also received the Grolier Poetry Prize, a Van Renssalaer Prize, an Academy of American Poets Prize, and two Pushcart nominations. Massimilla has recent work in Chelsea, The Colorado Review, Cottonwood, The Cream City Review, Provincetown Arts, Rosebud, and other journals. He teaches Western classics, modernist poetry and modernist fiction in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University.
