Suzanne Heyd
's work appears in recent and forthcoming issues of South Dakota Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, Puerto del Sol, New Orleans Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, and Hunger Mountain, to name a few. She was a featured poet at the 2003 Connecticut Poetry Festival, recipient of the National Endowment for the Humanities summer seminar award, runner-up for the Robert Penn Warren Award (judged by John Ashbery), and finalist for the James Fellowship for Novel in Progress. She lives in Connecticut, where she is a freelance writer and coordinator for the literary program at Arts + Literature Laboratory. She holds an MFA in poetry from Vermont College.
