Geoffrey Brock
's poems have appeared in the Hudson Review, Poetry, the Paris Review, and the Southern Review as well as in the recent anthologies New Voices and The Zoo Anthology of Younger Poets. Mr. Brock studied at the University of Florida and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He has held a Wallace Stegner Fellowship and an NEA Fellowship in Poetry, and was awarded the 1998 Raiziss/de Palchi Translation Fellowship for his version of Cesare Pavese's Disaffections, which received the PEN Center U.S.A. Translation Award and the MLA's Lois Roth Award. He has also translated new books by Roberto Calasso and Umberto Eco. Mr. Brock has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, the Florida Arts Council, and the American Antiquarian Society. He lives in Tucson, Arizona.
